ARKANSAS REQUIREMENTS CHECKLIST PACKAGE

FOR

ACCREDITED REINSURER STATUS

 

 

In submitting your request for Accredited Reinsurer Status, the following information must accompany your company letterhead request for Accredited Reinsurer Status signed by a ranking executive officer of the company.

 

1.      Company must file evidence of its submission to Arkansas’ jurisdiction. This may be done by affidavit or AR-1.

 

2.      Company must submit to the Arkansas Insurance Department’s authority to examine its books and records. This may be done by affidavit or AR-1.

 

3.      Certificate of Compliance executed by the appropriate public official of the company’s domiciliary state.

 

4.      Copy of the company’s last preceding annual statement sworn to by at least two of the company’s executive officers or certified by the public insurance supervisory official of the company’s domiciliary state.

 

5.      Provide a copy of the most recent audited financial statement.

 

6.      Provide a copy of the most recent examination report.

 

7.      Company must have a surplus as regards to policyholders in an amount which is not less than Twenty Million Dollars ($20,000,000.00).

 

8.      Provide a list semi-annually of Arkansas Domestic Companies, which cede business to company, along with the reinsurance intermediaries, which placed such business.

 

9.      Initial registration and annual renewal of $500.

 

*For yearly renewal of Accredited Reinsurer status, the requirement number 4 (Annual statement filing) and number 8 must be current along with the

 submission of the annual renewal fee listed at number 9.
