The mission of the Risk Management Division of the Arkansas Insurance Department is to minimize the cost of insurance and surety bonding to state agencies and participating school districts. Risk Management also analyzes and makes recommendations regarding cost effective loss control and safety programs in an effort to protect state assets.

STATE PROGRAM

State Property And Vehicle Insurance Trust Fund Program

The Risk Management Division provides loss control and appraisal services for State agencies covered under the State Master Property Policies. Risk Management procures, by State bid, property, inland marine, boiler and machinery, auto liability, aircraft, and specialty coverages for State agencies and negotiates renewals for each of the coverages.

State Vehicle Safety Program

The Risk Management Division, along with the Office of Driver Services, and Information Network of Arkansas, administer the State Vehicle Safety Program. A FREE defensive driving course taught by the Risk Management Staff is now offered to State employees. Click here for more information: Advanced Driver Training Program

Public School Property And Vehicle Insurance Trust Fund Program

Effective February 2004, the Risk Management Division assumed the responsibility of providing insurance coverage, consulting and loss control to public schools that choose to participate in the Public School Property and Vehicle Insurance Trust Fund.

Arkansas Fidelity Bond Trust Fund Program

Additionally, the Risk Management Division provides staff for the Arkansas Governmental Bonding Board in the administration of the Arkansas Fidelity Bond Trust Fund Self-Insured Fidelity Bond Program. The Bond Program provides fidelity bond coverage for all State Agencies, Counties, Municipalities and School Districts.
